Chapy Two-
Drip .. drip. Sound of droplets that feel down from the rooftop echoed the place gathering to form a tiny lake on the ground beside the building's white wall. Patches of blue sky showed here and there through the clouds that piled one after the other while bits of sunrays peeked through. Countless of sparrows were twittering, footsteps were heard everywhere and cars raced each other for work. Somewhere in this simple small country, specifically in between two buildings, in a small-lane, on the ground laid the representative, Jenny Mcloud lost in her slumber and not far from her Kensou was gazing at the carefree expression on her sleeping face.
"Ah, she sure is enjoying her slumber." He sighed turning his gaze to the view outside. "Where are we? Where have we fallen now? Should I send a signal? They'll surely find me in no time."
A pamphlet sat down on one of the keyboards. "Let's see what the next act is." He mumbled carrying it and reading silently. "Hmm..welcome to the world of radiant light, Earth, where your sphere exists. No, it sounds creepy, wait, what? Radiant light? What got into me" he sighed and continued on, "Ugh, this sounds pretty much like her." He blabbered throwing the pamphlet behind his back and gazing at her again.
A long uneventful hours stretched. Knowing that it might take some time till the representative wakes up, he sat down, his right palm on his chin, thinking. Few cats passed by meowing and pigeons started courting on each of the nearby buildings' rooftops. The weather became clearer and more likeably photo worthy. "I Wonder what her reaction would be .. " couple of silent moments have passed before his expression changed into a pitiful look. "You shouldn't have discarded her. You're not supposed to be here. I hope you'll find her soon..your precious possession, Jenny."
Inside Jenny's mind, a long dream of the past progressed. In a middle of a long rainy day, people wearing black clothes assembled in front of a big mansion.
“My sincerest apologizes for your loss.” An old man stood, with his wife beside him, patting who looked like one of his friends.
“Thank you for consoling me.” The well built man with a dark black hair and eyes, thanked in a kind tone.
“It’s becoming more difficult for you now. In there,” the old man looked at the entrance of the mansion and continued, “lays gigantic responsibilities! Will you be all right?”
“I’ll manage with it somehow. I appreciate your concern.” He assured smiling quietly.
“We live-“ the madam interfered meekly informing, “next to your house. If anything is needed, please don’t hesitate to drop by and ask~” she toned.
“Thank you for the offer.” the man bowed, rushing to where couple of men gathered near the fountain in the middle of the garden.
The play ended, curtains dropped and the actors and actresses went home after the tough workload they had to deal with. “Why did you reveal our location?” the husband asked.
“Dear, you know who that person is! The leader of the Sky Clan and the owner of the Sky Lab Container, Mr.Mcloud. If our ties were to be straightened, do you know the advances we’ll later attain? Think wisely for a minute. His wife has just passed away and he got his three years old daughter hanging without a mother. How on the earth is he going to manage in holding everything under his control? Considering his role in this universe, he’ll soon crash under the weight of responsibilities awaiting for him. Finding a new partner will cross his mind sooner or later. And you didn’t forget about our dutiful daughter, Taison! Ooh what a sight those two will make. If we were to persuade him into marrying her, she’ll inherit a large amount of homail!!” she explained enthusiastically.
“Ooh, billions of homail, no trillions! What a smart wife you are. I’m glad that I chose you!” he complimented.
“Awww I feel flattered.” The wife shyly hid her face with the umbrella.
The couple walked while continuing their admiration toward each other.
On the other hand, Mr.Mcloud sat on the sofa in the hall after bidding farewell to the audience. He wept for the loss of his precious wife. His sobbing was heard by his daughter who looked from far at her grieving father. She grabbed her little handkerchief and gently headed toward him. “Here.” She kindly said representing the handkerchief. “You’re pitying me?” furiously the father questioned.
“Pitng?” the little daughter repeated not fully understanding the word.
“If only you weren’t born, nothing of this would’ve happened!
I married to ease the burden I’ve carried for a long time and your deliverance only added more stress and trouble to me. Your birth has hampered my progress. I’ve scored the last in this year's list.
Do me a favor and just disappear from here. JUST DISAPPEAR!” he shouted, the intensity of his glare focusing on his daughter.
She felt his father’s anger itching her heart like a needle. Tears well up in her eyes and she began crying. The big mansion echoed the loud weeping of the daughter and the sobbing of her father. Outside, the rain fell so heavily as night waned.
"Jenny .." a whisper called her out as guts of strong wind blew. "Hey, Jenny!" the whisper turned into a muscular voice shouting. She moaned, her eyes flickered open and she sat up rubbing her sleepy eyes. Her face turned left and right looking around yawning. On her right side a laptop laid there and within Kensou was staring at her worriedly. "You're okay?". "Ah- Good morning, Kensou." She spoke in a soft tone as she yawned again and looked around sleepily. "Where am I? Is this how it look inside of you? What happened?" she inquired. "You don't remember?" he wanted to confirm. "Remember what?" she inquired. "What happened there!". "There?". "In Sky Lab Container!". "Uh. In there..we…" she experienced a flashback of the day she met him.
“The feathers..” inside the SLC (Sky Lab Container), the boy inside the laptop, announced to the distraught Jenny, “were dazzling, weren’t they? Doesn’t the countess wish to see them once again?”. “The feathers?” her expression became even more quizzical now. “White feathers only you can see!” he added. “The feathers!!!” she shouted turning around and rushing to him. "You can see them?" she inquired. "Huh?" he questioned ironically. "No, I mean how? Why? H-how?" she blurted out whatever came into her head. "For your information, I'm just a merely computer. How come I can see that which only you can se-"
"-That's right!" she interfered, "That's what I'm surprised at! How come you can see what I saw? Some program your using? But how come we couldn't detect it? Why am I the only one that can receive the signals? You're emitting a unique kind of signals that allows you to send pictures to me only? Send? How do you do that? No wait, HOW DO YOU DO THAT?" enthusiastically she kneeled beside the table, gazing at him as he took some steps backward. "Uh-ha ha" he stuttered. "Speak boy! Answers!!" she demanded.
"Ahem.. First, you have to answer few questions I got for you."
"What?" she straightened up waiting.
"Let's leave you aside. This place, the so called 'Sky Lab-' um…whatever.."
"'Sky Lab Container'." She completed.
"Yeah, I don't know why they chose such a name though-"
"You don't know?" she interrupted asking.
"I don't!" he stated.
"Well, my father works in 'The Universe' and he was elected as the leader of the 'Sky Clan'. Members there are known as prodigies and philosophers in inventing supernatural things-", "W-what-" he questioned but no answer was given as Jenny continued on explaining, "and my father decided to build a container for the upcoming skies to acknowledge-", "S-skies?" "-their powers, if they had any and try to improve them. That's why it's called 'Sky Lab Container' also known as 'SLC'!" she added.
"I'm well informed now, thank you very much!" he replied and turned his face to his right side mumbling, "although I don't know what this 'Universe' and 'Sky Clan' are.."
"Hmm?" . "Uh, it's nothing." He stuttered picking up a pamphlet beneath his feet. "Next!" she demanded.
"Next?" he questioned straightening up and looking at her. "Your next question!" she clarified. "Yeah…um.." he looked at the pamphlet and around searching for something. "This looks just like animes.." she suddenly started and continued on, "where the main character explains about his planet to the invader coming from a strange dimension!". She set her imagination wonder freely. "What..?" he glared at her. "Nothing." She stood and folded her arms together. After a moment of silence, she looked at him intensely and uttered, "Now, boy!". "Kensou .. is my name!" he interrupted.
"Uh..sorry. Kensou, eh? So tell me, what did you come here for?"
"To get you!" he informed calmly.
"Why me?" "I choose you!"
"Out of the blue?" "Yup."
"Of all the girls out there?" "Uh-huh!"
"Not because I'm unique or something?" "Not at all."
"You're rude. You should've said that I have a hidden power or because of being a representative or something." "Ha?"
"What?" she questioned looking at him as he kept glaring at something below his feet.
"Uh- it's nothing." His eyes widened even more just by glaring at the monitor of one of the devises stock on the walls in front of him which were invisible to her. It showed some digital numbers running backwards.
"Uh..s-say, Countess. Do you w-want to get inside here?" perspiring a bit, he courageously offered.
"Eh? I can?" . "Y-yeah, you can." . "I'd love to."
"Wear this." He pressed on a button and small headphone came out from what looked like DVD driver. She snatched it and put it on. "Close your eyes." He ordered.
Both of her eyelashes clapped, that's when she was transmitted to where the boy was, inside the laptop. "Wooow! Amazing!! I'm inside!"
"Whoa! Look!" she pointed out the monitor where her human form body sat without a single move. "Another me outside!" she cheerfully announced, immensely amused by it.
"Forgive me.." he whispered in a soft tone filled with guilt. She turned to him hearing a click of a button and a bright light shone sucking all her energy that throw her unconscious.
"Ah. I remembered. That ti-" she paused looking around at the strange view. "Don't tell me..this is your world?". A gentle breeze blew as she tilted her chin up to look at the sky. "Is this..what they call 'sky'?" she quietly uttered gazing profoundly at it. Kensou just rolled his eyes. "I bet this is your first time looking at the real one. Never getting the opportunity to see what lies outside the lab, I kinda pity you..," he thought.
"Are you alright, miss?" a voice came from behind. She quickly turned to see a man with a little long brown hair and wearing a hat, stepping out of the shadow. "Whoa! that frightened me." She said inhaling and exhaling. Looking carefully at him, she held her gaze at his hat. "Ha? A hat??" switching to Kensou she inquired, "What century do you live in? Those hats still exist? I can't believe this.". "Cause you've been living in the shadow.." he replied. "Now, now, miss. Don't say rude things. I came to help."
"Do I look like I'm in need of help?" "It's written all over your face."
"Well well, what do you see. A cowboy well informed about facial expressions. That's one heck of a world I drafted into.". "Jenny, carry me." Kensou whispered to her, becoming a bit wary after glancing some fancy looking red feathers sticking out of his right pocket. "Hmm?" she looked at him confused. "J-just carry..me carry me.." he stuttered. Sensing his fear of something, she slowly pulled a gray colored little ball out of her left pocket, keeping her gaze at the man who took some steps forward toward her. "We can make a deal and I'll set you free." "Oh yeah. What kind of a deal?"
"The laptop for these fancy looking feathers," he offered, taking the red feathers out of his pocket. "D-don't.." Kensou warned perspiring. "Why not?" she whispered looking at him. "HERE catch!" the man's voice echoed throughout the small-lane as he threw at her the red feathers. Jenny raised her right hand to catch it, while preparing her left one to throw the ball. "DON'T CATCH..DON'T THROW!!" Kensou shouted, too late to prevent the upcoming disarray. The shock from his sudden shout frightened both the man and Jenny as the ball slipped from her hand and flew few steps from her. "TAKE COVER.." he screamed digging his head between his knees. The ball blew up causing a mass giant of white smoke that extended in a massive speed the three buildings around.
Not so far away, there held a huge Bazaar. Countless people gathered there surprised at the sudden smoke covering the sky. Among them stood two young ladies. "This is a weird fog." the older one said, glancing up at the distant sky with mystified expression. Her long black hair fell down gracefully over her shoulder and she wore a black light skirt, white basic tank top and striped cardigan. "Doesn't look like a fog to me." The younger replied, brown small hair held up by a ribbon and paired the same striped cardigan with white shirt and jeans that worn loose in the leg. "I'm going to check. You two take care of your mother." a man in his fourteens walked beside them ordering. "I'm going with you." The older exclaimed catching up behind him.
Deep within the white smoke, the strange man stood coughing, while Jenny crawled down searching for Kensou. Three steps away from her, he laid there in his full consciousness. "Hey, Kensou!" she called out. "Jenny? Where are you?" he questioned looking left and right. "Here you are!" She carried him and stood up. "Hurry! Get us out of here." He commanded. At the opposite direction of where she came from, a dim red light shone. With few steps, they found themselves out of the smoke. "Phew. Finally!" she said with relieve. Analyzing the situation around her, she found few people were watching in amazement. "Go there!" he pointed out where those people were standing. A step followed by another step and a tight sensation grabbed her chest. "Ah.." her voice filled with pain, she looked at her left side glaring. There was something coming to her. She felt it, reaching toward her through the sounds and the scents that filled the air. "Huh? This soon? Where?" Kensou wondered, stealing a quick glance at the direction she was looking at. "No way!! Lenne!!!!" On that spot, precisely, on top of one of the nearby buildings, the previous long black hair young lady was looking down at them. Jenny slowly fell unconscious, pressed down by a physical exhaustion that haunted her body and seemed to reach her soul. Gently the old man that came with the girl, caught her in his arms.
Inside a gigantic villa, in one of the rooms, there stood, facing the open window, the laptop and Kensou was typing in his computers. "I guess you knew everything by now." The old man entered with a clear and calm face, whose lines spoke a certain strength. "So, did she already met her?" he inquired. "Yeah.." Kensou spoke in a soft tone, feeling guilty. "Who?" "It's your daughter, Lenne.."
